Need an Internship?

Hey y’all! Getting ready to graduate? Need to bolster your resume with a summer internship? Look no further, Historic Stagville is just the place for you! < xml="true" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" prefix="o" namespace="">

Historic Stagville was the largest antebellum plantation in < xml="true" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" prefix="st1" namespace="">North Carolina. Students interning with this site have studied economics (both macro and micro) states' rights, politics, gender roles, women’s studies, race relations, education, religion, architecture, journalism, earth science, interior design, and marketing. Most of our interns go on to graduate programs of their choice including the Public History program at NC State, Public Administration at NC State, Film and Video Production at UNC-Greensboro, Elon School of Law, and PhD work at UNC-Chapel Hill. There is literally something here for everyone!

If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Assistant Site Manager, Betsy Vogedes, at 919-620-0120.

Historic Stagville's full time staff of two go above and beyond in all aspects of running a historical site. As a member of the Historic Stagville team, you can help Frachele and Betsy keep Historic Stagville a fun and enlightening place for visitors to learn about life on a plantation. Volunteers give site tours to the public, partake in public relations at the Visitor's Center, keep the historical buildings sparkling, assist with our large public events, and more!

If you are interested in volunteering your time to this Triangle Treasure, contact Betsy by email (stagville@ncmail.net) or by phone at 919-620-0120!

We look forward to working with you!
